The customer service at this store is a rare jewel-the staff goes above and beyond. It is such a pleasure in a time where it seems other stores have forgotten what customer service is!
My boyfriend and I had recently came into this location to buy some clothes, and not only did we leave with a new wardrobe for myself and some things for him too, we also left with a new wood bed and memory foam mattress! All under $1000. I was seriously shocked. The price for the furniture is the best you'll find for this high of quality. Definitely going back for more clothing and furniture purchases in the future!
I have been shopping all of the DownEast locations for years. This has become my absolute favorite! I am always greeted with a cheerful smile and usually by name I might add!
Good selection of nice furniture. We've bought several beds, tables and chairs from DownEast and couldn't be happier about the price and quality.

The service however needs to be addressed. I've been in many times and can't recall a time when someone greeted me as I walked in. I usually have to seek help. I came in to pick up a purchase and again, had to track down an employee. The staff is friendly and I know they can get busy and can't be everywhere always but it doesn't seem like they're very well trained on paying attention to customers which I'm sure costs them sales when people decide to walk about because of lack of service. Other than that, we love buying furniture from DownEast
This post is well past due. I need more than 5 stars to do this store and staff justice. I have found so many great pieces of furniture, accessories and clothing items over the past 6 months that this location is definitely at the top of my go-to list. If you can't find what you're looking for or need a great objective opinion, Tiffany is your gal!!! In fact, I have never had a negative experience with any one of the girls. They have carried more things to my car than I can remember and always at their insistence.
I have never met staff that are so friendly and willing to help. They are there to help you find what you need, not trying to sell extra stuff. They are very knowledgeable of the products and it makes decision making easy! I will definitely be visiting again!
